This policy covers this website. It is written to describe what the site actually does rather than to cover every situation a template can imagine.
What we collect
This website has no accounts, no login and no contact form. We do not ask you for personal information, and nothing you type is sent to us from these pages. When you contact us it is by email, using your own email client, and we then hold whatever you chose to send.
Cookies and local storage
The site uses a consent and accessibility widget. It stores your consent choice and your accessibility preferences in your browser's local storage so it does not have to ask again on every page. That data stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.
The trail ready checklist on the resource library page also saves your ticked items in local storage on your own device. Clearing your browser data clears it.
Analytics
No analytics or advertising trackers are running on this site at present. If that changes, they will load only after you have opted in through the consent banner, and this page will be updated to say what they are.
Embedded media
Some pages link to video hosted on YouTube. Where video is embedded rather than linked, the embed does not load until you click it, and it uses YouTube's no cookie domain. Once an embed loads, YouTube receives your IP address and may set its own cookies under its own policy, which we do not control.
Fonts
Typefaces are served by Google Fonts. Requesting them exposes your IP address to Google. This happens on page load and is required for the site to render as designed.
Links to other sites
We link to land management agencies, partner organizations and social platforms. Once you follow a link you are on their site, under their policy.
Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Youth participation in Foundation programs is arranged with a parent or guardian directly.
Your choices
You can decline non essential storage through the consent banner, clear it at any time through your browser, and email us to ask what we hold about you or to have it deleted.
